The village of Fontan, nestled in the valley gorge along the clear waters of a mountain torrent, offers an exceptionally pleasant and green environ at an altitude of 450 meters. Occupying a particularly prestigious piece of land, Fontan was originally established along the salt route which connected the French Cote d’Azur with the Italian Piedmont region (30 kilometers from Menton on the Vintimille-Fontan rail line).
