Amazing
plants in a magnificent setting
An Eden for a variety of "succulent"
plants landscaped onto a rock face, the garden offers
a splendid panoramic view of the Principality of Monaco,
as well as of the French and Italian Rivieras. This
public garden, which spreads across a total surface
of 11,500 square meters and was inaugurated by Prince
Louis II, is the result of a collection of succulent
plants started back in 1895, of colossal landscaping
work and of an exceptional microclimate .
Sun
and flowers throughout the year
Paths and bridges allow visitors to stroll around amazing
plants of enormous size. The 2400 hours of yearly sunshine
produce flowers of varied colors and shapes, all throughout
the year. Cacti blossom from spring to summer, and are
then followed by the Euphorbia in autumn. In winter,
the variegated blossoming of red and yellow Aloes completes
the show.
