The
observatory caves
They were created by the action of carbon
dioxide water on dolomitic limestone. Their temperature
(18.65 degrees C) is constant throughout the year. They
have been fitted out in 1947 and the first visitors
were welcomed on the 2nd August 1950. The guided tour,
which lasts 35 minutes, will not leave the visitor indifferent.
This world of concretions, draperies, stalactites and
stalagmites further intensifies the feeling of being
in an exceptional place, already conveyed by the Garden.
