Once
a fortified village perched like an eagles nest
at the top of a cliff, Peillon is (in our eyes) the most
beautiful village in this area.
The
old part of the town has been classified as a national
historic monument site.

Dont
miss
the towns cobbled streets, the vestiges of the fortress
situated at the highest point in the village, the ancient
Roman road which stretches for two kilometers toward Peille,
the old flour and olive oil mills which are open to the
public on holidays and the bronze sculpture gallery at
the towns entry.
